Guto Bran (real name Griffith Morgan) was an infamous character during the 1700’s. It was said he was unbeatable in a cross-country race.
In 1737, he was so committed to beating an English adversary that he put his all into the race. He won, but at a price – he died from exhaustion soon after. His ghost is said to be seen running around the area at midnight.
